About Our College

The college is affiliated to Vasantrao Naik Marathwada Krishi Vidyapeeth, Parbhani, in the state of Maharashtra. The college began with its pursuit of enhancing rural development through affordable, accessible and adaptable education in agriculture with emphasis on research and innovation.

Genesis of Shri. Anant Krishi Vikas Pratishthan

Agriculture, its allied services and sectors have always been the pulse of our country’s grass root. This sector has seen meagre growth owing to its categorization as a ‘tertiary sector’.

The demographic dividend for any nation is directly proportionate to its per capita income, GDP and last but not the least its abundance of organic harvesting. Our country has witnessed immense challenges of agricultural extension in a rapidly growing economy and population. To address these challenges, Shri. Anant Krishi Vikas Pratishthan, was established with the prime objective of making agriculture and food technology the most preferred sectoral education in India.

The Pratishthan, not only envisioned the need for a state-of-the-art institute but also considered its campus as the skilling arena to adequately train its students on the new advanced technologies in Food Technology and Agriculture, thus, make them future ready.

Considering the speed of globalization and liberalization of policies, the institute saw a huge vacuum to bring the rural un-tapped talent into the mainstream. A five-point agenda was set by the Pratishthan to institutionalize higher education in this space, they were:

❖ To make education affordable, accessible and adaptable for all the segments of masses in the society
❖ Blended learning of students with globally recognized best practices in Food Technology
❖ Implement research-based teaching methodologies in class-rooms for increased participation of students
❖ A conglomeration of in-house and industry affiliated Faculties who are the powerhouse of knowledge, skill and ability
❖ To transform every student from the institute as self-reliant, resourceful and confident to embark the marketplace

There are three sister units of Shri. Anant Krishi Vikas Pratishthan which are:

  1.  Adarsh Shikshan Sanstha
  2.  Navgan Shikshan Sanstha
  3.  Vinayak Yuvak Kalyan Sanstha

Collectively, these three units run over 80 schools and colleges in multi-disciplinary streams and segments.
